15 Banks to Meet Capital Demand – BoG

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has announced that about fifteen (15) banks are in line to recapitalise to GHS400 million by December this year.

Speaking at the MPC meeting on Monday, Dr Ernest Addison, Governor of the BoG said that six banks out of the number have already met while three are ready to merge, .

The rest have also submitted plans that BoG believes will lead to fresh capital injection by December this year.

Dr Addison said BoG was also working with the rest of the banks on their plans to recapitalise.
