2 arrested for spraying acid on lover man

TWO SUSPECTS have been caged by the police at Kenyase near Kumasi for allegedly spraying acid on one Richard Opoku, who is 23 years old.

The two suspects have been identified by police as Abigail Adutwum, 22 years old, said to be the girlfriend of the severely injured victim, Opoku, who is on admission.

The other suspect, who is said to be an accomplice of Abigail, has also been identified as Obed Danso, who went into hiding after committing heinous crime.

A police report disclosed that Abigail and Opoku are lovebirds and they have been living happily together until a misunderstanding ensued between them.

After the misunderstanding, someone was said to have poured acid Opoku, which caused severe burns and injuries on his wholes body on Saturday.

Opoku’s father, who was aware of the misunderstanding between his son and Abigail, suspected that perhaps she (Abigail) had a hand in the acid spraying case.

The father therefore lodged a complaint against Abigail, who was arrested and during interrogation admitted that indeed she had a hand in the ‘wicked’ incident.

Abigail was said to have also informed the police that Obed Danso was her accomplice so he (Obed) was also nabbed at his hideout at Kotei near Kumasi.
