The Finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has emphasized that the Akufo-Addo led government is on track in delivering on its promises even though he accepts there is more to be done.
He insisted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has done a lot within the 22 months since being in power.
He said the NPP led government has a long way to go but he is optimistic all indicators show improvement of the economy.
Mr Ken Ofori-Atta made this known in Parliament on Thursday, 15th November 2018 when presenting the 2019 budget statement.
He indicated the Ghana would exit the IMF bailout programme by end of the year 2018 which he thinks would help ease some bottlenecks that came with it.
The minister said the economy has seen a massive improvement compared to the challenges government inherited from the Mahama-led NDC administration.
Mr Ofori-Atta stressed that a change in the management of the economy from incompetence to competence as well as other aspects of the economy has greatly contributed to the growth of the economy.
