2020 polls will be the best in Ghana’s electoral history – EC

Mrs. Jean Mensa led electoral commission has assured Ghanaians of making the 2020 presidential and parliamentary election the best in Ghana’s electoral process. 

This was made known by the Chairperson of the Commission, Mrs. Jean Mensa during a presser on Sunday, December 6, 2020.

According to her, the Commission’s target is possible to achieve due to the efficient systems it has put in place.

“In our bid to reduce tension and suspicions around the elections and to promote efficiency in our work, we plan to declare the final results within 24 hours. This may seem ambitious for some and some have also expressed concerns about the accuracy of results declared just 24-hours after the elections. On behalf of the Commission, I wish to assure you that the declared results would be the true reflection of the will of the people as documented on the pink sheets.”

She added, “The only aspects of our work that has changed is the efficiency we have put in our work, and we are confident that with the total commitment of our people, we will witness the timely delivery of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary results.”
