The 2021 edition of the WASSCE for School Candidates after Visual arts students began the practicals aspect of the examination on August 16, 2021, will officially be administered today at 763 centres throughout the country.
WAEC, the organizers of the international examination in a post said 446,321 candidates made up of 221,437 boys and 224,884 girls from 965 schools are expected to sit for the exams.
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates when commenced on Wednesday, September 1, according to the 2021 WASSCE for School timetable will end on Friday, October 8, 2021.
Candidates on Wednesday, September 3, 2021, will write the English Language (Oral 3), English Language (Essay & Objective) on September 13, 2021, Mathematics on September 20, 2021, and Integrated Science on October 6.
A staff of the non-profit-making organization has said adequate measures are in place to ensure the 2021 WASSCE for School is conducted successfully in the midst of the outbreak of the locally transmitted coronavirus pandemic.
The WAEC official at a press briefing entreated the general public especially candidates to be wary of the activities of rogue website operators who peddle fake questions on social media presenting them as authentic papers.
