3 killed in Abuakwa crash

THREE PEOPLE have been reported dead, following a bloody accident in Abuakwa near Kumasi.

It happened when a Mercedes Benz, which was speeding, crashed into a stationary tipper truck on Friday.

The tipper truck had developed a fault at Ntensere, near Abuakwa, when the benz car rammed into it.

Reports indicated that three people died on the spot, whilst several others also sustained severe injuries.

According to reports, the impact of the crash was so deafening that it attracted people to the scene.

The deceased persons were rushed to the mortuary for preservation as police investigates the accident.

The injured persons were also rushed to the Mount Sinai Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.

Eyewitnesses said one of the injured persons has been rushed to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.
