3 NDC Members Hospitalized …Over Disqualification
Three members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Suame Constituency, who are dyed-in-the-wool supporters of Mr. Emmanuel Boahen, a parliamentary aspirant, are said to have been hospitalized, following the disqualification of their ‘idol’.
The three, whose names were not readily available to the media, reportedly collapsed immediately it was announced that Boahen had been disqualified from the parliamentary primaries, and that his only competitor, Francis Dodovi, was going unopposed.
Emmanuel Boahen, who made the disclosure on radio, during an interview with Nhyira FM’s Kofi Asante Ennin, said his disqualification had come as huge blow to him and his supporters, hence the collapse of the three.
He appealed to his teeming supporters at Suame to take his suspension in good faith, adding that he was still talking to the party leadership to see if they could do anything about his situation.
Meanwhile, Francis Dodovi, who also spoke on the same station, said his focus was on what to do to help the NDC to make history by winning the Suame seat for the first time in 2020.
He promised to quickly reach out to Emmanuel Boahen and his supporters so they could team up and campaign for more votes for the party.
