3 On Police Wanted List – Over Ejura Police Station Atta

THREE males, who are currently on the run, have been declared wanted by the Ashanti Regional Police Command for allegedly storming the Ejura Police Station on September 29, 2018, and forcibly taking away seized motorbikes.

They include Alhassan, Anyas and Mohammed Tanko, also known as ‘Afoko’.

According to the police, Alhassan, Anyas and Tanko, who are not owners of the seized motorbikes, allegedly led a mob to the police station and took the bikes away.

Briefing the paper, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Akwasi Mensah Duku, said his men are combing Ejura and the nearby communities on a manhunt for the suspects, stressing that they can run but cannot hide.

The police chief, who was looking extremely angry, said under no circumstance should a mob attack a police station.

He urged the public, notably those that have idea about where the suspects are taking refuge, to assist the police to apprehend them.
