Three persons over the weekend were killed when the bus they were travelling in rammed into a trailer at Ekumfi Abor Junction, near Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality.
The incident also left six other occupants of the vehicle sustaining various degrees of injuries.
They were said to be travelling from Mankessim to Accra when the accident occured.
Among the injured is a child whose age has not be confirmed.
The injured are receiving treatment at the Mercy Women’s Catholic Hospital, but the bus driver, who sustained minor injury has been discharged.
The bodies of the three passengers who died from the accident have also been deposited at the Saltpond Municipal Hospital mortuary.
This came hours after another accident on the accra-Tema Motorway had left one person dead and scores injured on Friday night.
The Mercedes Benz bus with registration number GT 3766-17 traveling from Ashaiman to Accra burst its two back tyres causing the driver to lose control.
The vehicle veered off the street to land on its side.
