400 PEOPLE SCREENED FOR FREE In Kumasi
MORE THAN 400 people have benefitted from a one-day free health screening exercise in the Manhyia South Constituency in Kumasi.
It was organized by the Asante Professionals Club (APC), made up of different professionals that have come together to transform Asanteman.
The programme was among the series of events lined up to make the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s 20 years milestone memorable.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, aka ‘Napo’, who is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South and a member of the APC, sponsored the event.
The beneficiaries of the exercise were screened in diabetes, hypertension, blood pressure and other diseases by medical experts.
Otuo Baah Frimpong, the APC Events and Membership Welfare Coordinator, said the exercises was organized to honour the Asantehene.
According to him, Otumfuo’s 20 years reign had brought about massive development in Asanteman and Ghana, adding that deserved to be honoured.
Dietitians were also brought in to advice residents on the proper ways to eat.
