A Well-Buffed Economy Cannot Be Destroyed In A Year – NPP MP Tells NDC
Member of Parliament [MP] for the Ayensuano constituency in the Eastern region, Hon. Samuel Ayeh-Paye says members of the largest opposition party [NDC] should stop expecting and pressuring the NPP government to do more than it has realized in its almost one year administration.
He said the NPP government has done a lot in its governance and has a lot of good plans for this country than one can expect, and will definitely work its best out in making life comfortable for citizens than the previous government led by Ex-President John Dramani Mahama left behind.
Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, Hon. Ayeh-Paye said “a well- organized economy as you claim you left behind cannot be destroyed in a year if indeed it was as you [NDC] claimed.”
“Why should the members of NDC have nothing good to associate this government with, it will serve them much good if they stay balanced on issues of public interest than wanting to make everything political,” he said.
Commenting on the alleged abuse of power and corruption scandal that have rocked the Electoral Commission [EC] , the MP for Ayensuano affirmed that “I wish they resign from their duties before the investigating into the allegation start.”
Hearing into the alleged abuse of power and corruption scandals that have rocked the Electoral Commission (EC) begun yesterday.
Chairperson of the EC, Charlotte Osei, and two of her deputies, Georgina Opoku-Amankwah, who is in charge of Corporate Services, and Amadu Sulley, in charge of Operations, are expected to appear before the five-member committee chaired by a Supreme Court Judge for questioning relating to separate petitions filed against them.
