Aboboyaa kills woman in Kumasi

A WOMAN in her mid 20’s has been killed in a gory road crash at Buokrom Junction in Kumasi.

The woman was said to be standing on the shoulder of the busy road when a tricycle mostly known as ‘Aboboyaa’ knocked her down.

According to eye witnesses report, a mini bus that was following the tricycle, hit it (tricycle) at the back.

The rider of the ‘Aboboyaa’, lost control afterwards and knocked down the woman.

The bloody accident reportedly happened on Saturday afternoon and it attracted scores of people.

The injured woman was lying motionless with a lot of blood oozing from several parts of her body in public.

Some Good Samaritans mustered courage and rushed the injured woman to the Manhyia Government Hospital.

The woman’s condition deteriorated fast so she was referee to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

Close sources said the woman, whose identity is not known, gave up the ghost at KATH in Kumasi.

Her lifeless body had since been dumped in the morgue, awaiting autopsy. Police investigations into the crash are also ongoing.
