Accident Crashed Our Dreams- Awal Mohammed
Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, Awal Mohammed has blamed the team’s inability to win this year’s premier league trophy on the accident they had during the season.
He said the team was on course to make a strong challenge for the league title until the unexpected road accident occurred.
Awal said the gory accident which resulted in injuries to both players and the technical team distracted the teamand thwarted Kotoko’s efforts to keenly contest for the league title.
“For me our season suffered a major blow after our bus was involved in a gory accident on the Kumasi/Accra highway when we were returning from a league match”, he said.
He said the team deserved commendation for managing to put the accident shock behind them and fought to finish the season on a brighter note.
Awal said Kotoko is ready to make a strong impact in the African Confederation Cup tournament next season, calling on management to maintain the same players.
Awal Mohammed also urged the red army Kotoko supporters to rally behind the team in the coming season to win more trophies.
