A 19-YEAR-OLD Senior High School (SHS) graduate, identified as Deborah Addai Poku, and four others, have died in a gory car crash at Juaso in the Ashanti Region stretch of the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
This was after a Kia Picanto taxi cab, which they were travelling on, veered from its lane and crashed head-on with an oncoming bus.
Eye witnesses said the driver of the taxi cab made a wrong overtaking move, which resulted in the tragic incident.
According to them, the impact of the crash was such that all the five people on board the taxi, including the SHS graduate, died instantly.
Passengers in the Kumasi-bound bus, also sustained slight injuries and were treated and discharged.
Reports say it took the frantic intervention of fire fighters to remove the bodies of the five persons from the mangled taxi cab.
The paper’s checks later on disclosed that three of the deceased persons are workers of the Juaso District Forestry Office.
They were identified as Dennis Boamah, 32, Kennedy Okyere, aka ‘Kenya’, 35 and Christopher Anim Bonsu, 27.
