ACP Addo-Danquah Appointed CID Boss
ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has been appointed as the acting Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
She replaces COP Bright Oduro, who has been asked to proceed on leave.
An internal memo released stated that ACP Addo Danquah’s appointment takes immediate effect.
The new CID boss was recently implicated in the APlus corruption saga which rocked the Flagstaff House after she was heard in a leaked audio suggesting that a report on the two deputy Chiefs of Staff – Asenso Boakye and Abu Jinapor – was concocted to exonerate the two government officials.
She later claimed that the controversial musician had doctored the audio to tarnish her reputation.
ACP Addo-Danquah was born to Mr. Kwame Adiya-Nimo and Nana Adwoa Agyekumwaa II (Queen mother of Banka) on 19 August 1969 at Konongo in the Asante Akyem district of the Ashanti Region. She is second of six children.
She got recruited into the Ghana Police Service on 27 July 1990.
