Activate Causing Financial Loss Law ― Top Pastor Begs Nana

A TOP Man of God in Kumasi has appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to activate the law on ‘Causing Financial Loss to the State’.

Reverend Ransford Obeng, Head Pastor of Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) in Kumasi, who made the call, stressed that such a move will protect the national purse from the activities of greedy politicians.

The CCC head pastor was of the view that apart from the potential to check selfish politicians from stealing state money, the law would also instruct people in responsible positions to be vigilant at all times.

“I am appealing to the president to revive the ‘Causing Financial Loss to the State Law’ so as to serve as a check on selfish politicians in the country.

“That law seems to have the potential of instilling fear into politicians so when it is activated, it can help check politicians to do the right thing”, he opined.

Reverend Obeng, who is one of the most respected pastors in the country, was delivering a sermon during CCC’s New Year’s Eve watch night service.

“The president should not let the law to lie idle for people to take advantage to unduly milk the national coffers, thereby stalling national growth”.

On what Ghanaians should expect in 2018, the head pastor prophesied abundant blessings for Ghanaians and massive transformation in the country, adding that Ghanaians should learn to give glory to God for His blessings.
