Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo expressed discontent with Ghanaian movie producers and directors for neglecting to cast older actors in their film projects.
In her Instagram post, Beverly highlighted that she has participated in just two films this year, ‘Yaa Basabasa’ on YouTube and one produced by Steve Ekeso.
Expressing her frustration, she called on producers to consider her for future projects, stating, “I think I am getting bored. I have done only two productions this whole year: ‘Yaa Basabasa’ on YouTube and one movie produced by Steve Ekeso. Where are the producers and directors? Forgotten about me? I’m a versatile actor oo. I can do it all. Or you say you want new faces? Or you can’t pay me? Try me,” she wrote.
Also, she wrote that 80% of the ‘old faces’ are currently not getting movie roles.
“How many of the old faces do you producers and directors cast anyway? 80% ain’t working. What is going on? Shoutout to all the producers holding us down. The industry needs you. Keep going,” the caption reads.
