Nigerien attacker Victorien Adebayor has revealed how happy he is in joining Legon Cities Football Club on loan from HB Koge in Denmark.
The attacker was unveiled last Friday after joining the Royals on loan for the second round of the 2020-2021 Ghana Premier League.
At his unveiling, Adebayor expressed his excitement upon returning to Ghana for another adventure.
“I am happy coming back to Ghana and I will play for Legon Cities, rumours that I was going to join Accra Hearts of Oak is not true, it is Legon Cities Football Club that I want to play. I will not say much, my style and everything will show when I come unto the field,” he said.
Head Coach Bashiru Hayford also expressed optimistic his goal scoring problem is solved following the signing of Adebayor and Hans Kwofie to the club.
“He is a very good player, you will testify for it, you know Legon Cities always go for the best. He is coming to augment our attacking force and because we all know him, he is going to deliver for us, we are going to provide the right environment for him to improve and to deliver, we are praying for him that God gives him the knowledge within the short time he stays with us to deliver, to say that he is still Adebayor,” Hayford told the press.
Adebayor spent two seasons in the Ghana Premier League and scored 19 goals in 25 games for Inter Allies.
