Aduana Park Ready For Al Tahadi Game
THE NANA Agyeman Badu I Park at Dormaa Ahenkro is in good shape to host Africa Champions League games, the paper is aware.
Ghana champions, Aduana Stars, will therefore host Al Tahadi of Libya in a return leg of Africa Champions League qualifier at the venue on Wednesday.
The Dormaa Ahenkro-based club, against all odds, held Al Tahadi to a 1-1 drawn game in the first leg in Egypt.
There were concerns that the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park was not in good shape so the return encounter could be moved to either Accra or Kumasi.
However, after a lot of hard work, the Aduana Stars’ park is, amazingly, now looking green and beautiful even at a time when the entire country is experiencing a dry season.
THE PUBLISHER SPORTS gathered that the Dormaahene, Nana Agyeman Badu I, is solely responsible for making the pitch get its needed facelift.
The traditional ruler, who is the bankroller of Aduana, is said to have pumped in cash to green the pitch and also renovate facilities at the stadium.
A CAF inspection team that visited Dormaa Ahenkro recently were said to have expressed amazement about what they witnessed, and subsequently gave the pitch the green light to host Africa games.
