The Headmaster of Anyeme Primary School, in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti region, who was reported missing last week, has been found dead in a bush.
Identified as Samuel Owusu, the deceased was reported to have gone missing for about three days but he was found dead in a bush after a search by members of the community.
The almost decomposed body had since been buried, while police investigations continue (as a possible murder or suicide case), reliable sources told THE NEW PUBLISHER.
On October 21, 2019, the deceased’s motorbike was reportedly seen in the morning parked by a roadside, making residents to suspect that he was probably attending to nature’s call in the nearby bush.
According to the reports, the residents of the area, (many of them farmers) only sensed danger when they found the motorbike still parked at the same spot in the evening, whilst they were returning from farm.
An alarm was immediately raised and a search party dispatched by the District Chief Executive (DCE) and other opinion leaders in the farming community. Not long after, the almost decomposing body of the deceased was found at a location almost 200 metres away.
The body was later buried upon the recommendation of the police and opinion leaders.
The late Mr. Owusu, a native of the mining city of Obuasi, is said to have left behind a wife and three children.
Meanwhile, the police are said to have commenced investigations to help unravel what really led to the death of the headmaster.
