The President of Aglow International, Mrs. Dorothy Danso, has commended Breast Care International (BCI) for its advocacy work in dealing with breast cancer cases in Ghana.
BCI has been organizing free breast screening exercises nationwide in a bid to help people with breast cancer.
Speaking at the recently held National Convention of Aglow Ghana at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Mrs. Danso noted that free breast care screenings, as well as proper medical care from BCI has helped to keep the group’s members in shape.
She commended Mrs. Beatrice Wiafe Addai, Head of BCI and Peace and Love Hospitals for availing herself for God to use her to bless the people of Ghana especially women.
“I want to use this opportunity to commend Breast Care International and Peace and Love Hospitals for constantly providing us with care and support to ensure our women are in the best of health in our efforts to intercede and pray for Ghana,” Mrs Danso stressed.
Mrs. Dorothy Danso said her outfit has enjoyed great support from Breast Care International and the Peace and Love Hospitals (PLH).
This support, she noted has gone a long way to bring relief to some of its members across the country which had cases of breast cancer.
Speaking at the event on behalf of the President of Ghana, Mrs. Elizabeth Agyemang, Deputy Minister for Ashanti Region, said the government is very appreciative of the efforts Aglow International.
The monthly intercessions by Aglow, the President acknowledged has helped to save the country from calamity and attacks of the enemy.
The President stressed that any nation that has a devoted group of women to pray and intercede for it is sure to succeed and prosper.
The President therefore commended the group for its continuous dedication to prayer, and asked that they continue to support the government as it implements the many policies it has outlined.
Speaking to the media after the event, Dr. Wiafe Addai said her outfit is humbled by the public recognition from Aglow International.
This, she explained puts a responsibility on BCI to do more since many will be watching its activities and outdoor screenings so as to seek to benefit from same.
BCI and Peace and Love Hospitals, Dr. Wiafe revealed has also benefited from the immense prayer support from Aglow in its activities.
She recalled a recent event that they undertook in Tamale where it inaugurated a Local Organizing Committee, adding two Aglow executives accompanied them by driving their personal cars to pray for the success of the program.
“Even as Mrs. Danso and Mrs. Gifty Afenyi Dadzie of Aglow shower praises on us, we are humbled by their sense of appreciation for the efforts we are putting up to educate and care for those who have breast related challenges,” Dr Wiafe Addai added.
