The Minister of Food and Agriculture has resigned.
Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto presented his resignation letter to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House today, Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Dr Akoto has resigned to focus on his ambition to contest for the presidential mantle come 2024, on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Accepting the resignation, President Akufo-Addo wished him well in all his undertakings.
Dr Akoto is the second to resign from his office this year after Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen, Friday, January 6, 2023. They share a mutual reason for the resignation.
