Agyeman Prempeh Of Power Fm Wins Big At 2018 RTP

Popular Power FM presenter, Agyemang Prempeh, has been adjudged the Best Radio Entertainment Talk Show Host Of The Year by the organizers of the Radio and Television Personality Awards (RTP), Big Events.

His entertainment show on radio, Power Entertainment, aired on Saturday afternoons from 4pm to 7pm, On Power 97.9FM over the short period has seen seasoned entertainment analysts as resource persons.

The event, which was held at Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday night saw many other radio and television personalities, particularly from the media entities taking home different awards.

In a brief speech after taking the award, Agyemang Prempeh expressed his gratitude to his Media Agency and numerous listeners for the support over the years.

He beat the likes of KWASI ABOAGYE, AUSTIN WOOD, KWAME ADJETIA (AK) ,CHRISTIAN AGYEI FRIMPONG and SAMMY FLEX.

He joined his new radio station from Accra-based Rainbow Radio where he spent six (6) years doing music presentation and other interesting on-air activities that endeared him tonnes of listeners in the Greater Accra region and it’s surrounding regions.

He took charge of the show from Monday, January 8, 2018. The Power Drive is interlaced with comedy from a hilarious add on, Big Original, who is already making listeners laugh off their daily stress with unfettered but unadulterated humour.

Agyengo, as he is affectionately called, has 16 years experience in the radio industry, spanning from Channel R, GBC, Rainbow Radio and now Power 97.9MHZ where he obviously does what he is good in doing and give his competitors tough time in the Industry, who run their shows concurrently with his, torrid times.

This is because he appreciates the nuances of music culture and programme style that appeals to his listeners who have followed him to his new haven.

Albeit having made a name on the entertainment talk show slot, from his days at Channel R to Rainbow Radio, he also has appreciable experience on the very competitive ‘drive time’ slot.
