Ahead of Election 2020: Mahama Storms Musama Church For Prayers
Former President John Dramani Mahama last Sunday joined a large congregation of worshipers of the Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC) to take part in this year’s Peace Festival held at the church’s Holy land (Mosano) at Gomoa Eshiam, in the Central Region.
He was fervently prayed for and blessed by the holy hands of the Head Prophet of the church, The Major Prophet Akaboha IV.
The Major Prophet, who asked for the blessings of the Almighty on the former president and his delegation, also asked for divine favour, protection and wisdom for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer.
Prophet Akaboha IV recalled how some political leaders, who had in the past stepped on his holy land, left with fulfilment and were highly blessed in their political pursuits.
Addressing the congregation, the former president charged Ghanaians of every faith to have a positive mindset about the future of the country.
He said many countries that developed economically relied on God, and opined that if Ghanaians continue to maintain a positive attitude, the country will grow into prominence faster than they expected.
On the theme for the celebration, dubbed: ‘Thank Him For His Goodness’ (Psalm 107:8), Mahama advised the congregants to be appreciative of God’s goodness and always leave their battles for Him so that He would pour his blessings into their lives.
The Church, founded in 1922 by its first Prophet Jemisimiham Jehu-Appiah, a former Catechist at the Methodist Church, was holding its annual Peace Festival at its Gomoa headquarters.
The two-week festival, which brings together members of the church from across the country and abroad, is celebrated in the latter part of August.
This year’s celebration was climaxed by Piodama, a cultural activity that showcases the kings and the queens of the church.
