Akpaloo backs Nana …Over Plane Renting Rumour

Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, says President Nana Akufo-Addo is justified in hiring a plane for his foreign trips.

He said the president’s life and safety should be the concern of every Ghanaian, noting that the president should always feel comfortable.

Akpaloo was reacting to accusations by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the president has recently been traveling with a rented plane.

The NDCs argument was that the president and his associates had been draining the coffers of the state with their extravagant lifestyle, but Akpaloo thinks otherwise.

“If indeed the president rented a plane to travel abroad then it is in the right direction and nobody should attack him for that”, he said.

He said as the Commander In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, the president’s life and safety should never be compromised.

Akpaloo slammed the NDC for making narrow arguments and urged to be nationalistic.
