Dr. Maurice Jonas Woode, the chief executive of the Akrofuom District Assembly is a proud recipient of the coveted impact icons award by US-based International ministerial fellowship.
The award was given to him by virtue of his contributions, both home and abroad, in respect to peace building and advocacy, philanthropic activities and services to mankind.
In a ceremony held in Kumasi on Saturday 24th August 2024, Bishop Harrison Arko-Amoateng, Founder and CEO of Crio Bible College, presented Hon. Dr. Maurice Jonas Woode with a citation during their 17th year of ordination and orientation.
The honor acknowledges Dr. Woode’s tireless efforts as a peace builder, hard worker, and philanthropist.
Dr. Woode expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am humbled to receive this recognition, which is not my first for peacebuilding endeavors. Four years ago, the Nananom of Akrofruom Hene conferred upon me the title of Akrofruom Hene Peace Builder.”
Dr. Woode emphasized the importance of peace in Ghana’s progress, saying, “Without peace, we cannot move forward as a nation.” He urged all individuals, including politicians, traditional leaders, and citizens, to prioritize peace during and after the upcoming election on December 7th.
He also advised the youth to put Ghana’s interests first, reminding them that their actions have a profound impact on the country’s future.
Dr. Woode’s commitment to peacebuilding and community development has made a lasting impact, and this recognition serves as a testament to his dedication.
