President Nana Akufo-Addo, On Friday, 26th November 2021, commissioned a US$13 million cocoa processing Plant Capacity Expansion Works of Cargill Ltd, in Tema.
The expanded facility will bolster Cargill’s annual production capacity to 90,000 tonnes and support hundreds of new direct and indirect jobs.
Over the past decade, Cargill’s contribution to the growth of the Ghanaian economy, in terms of investment and exports, is worth celebrating, having increased their initial investment of $100 million in 2008 to some $130 million in 2021.
The investment is expected to increase the Cargill Cocoa Processing Company’s cocoa-grinding capacity by 20% to match consumer demand for cocoa powder
