Akufo-Addo is a complete coward – Hanna Bissiw

The Women’s Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hanna Bissiw has described President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a coward who uses political powers to intimidate the Opposition party.

According to her, actions by the governing New Patriotic Party to threaten the National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo won’t wash.

Samuel Ofosu Ampofo on Tuesday turned himself in to the police after a warrant was issued for his arrest. It came after the opposition party claimed there were plans to arrest its chairman in a demeaning manner.

However Hannah Bissiw speaking to the media in an interview at the CID headquarters Tuesday evening said, ”“The center cannot hold, you can’t do anything Akufo-Addo….you know the party headquarters at Adabraka, go and boom the place…do your worst but make sure nothing happens to the chairman….God will punish you” .

Hanna Bissiw further indicated, the security agencies should begin focusing on the actual perpetrators of the crime and run the CID like a professional and not a political body.

”This is all that you can do…shame unto you…you are a disgrace.” she added.

Meanwhile, she says her outfit has taken hundreds of signatures from women in different parts of the country to petition the diplomatic communities to buttress their cause over the recent spate of kidnappings in the country.

According to her, the signatures are meant to petition some Ambassadors and High Commissioners in the country as well as the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) as a way to get the government to find the abductees.

“We will go to the Canadian Embassy, U.S Embassy, Australia Embassy, and the Japanese Embassy,” she indicated.
