President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is in the Ashanti Region for a five-day working visit to engage the chiefs and people, listen to their concerns and inspect a number of development projects.
This is part of his nationwide tour, which had already taken him to Brong Ahafo, Western, Volta, Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions.
He would be paying a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at his Manhyia.
The Manhyia South, Asokwa, Nhyiaeso, Bosomtwe, Bantama, Sekyere Central and Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo constituencies include places he would be visiting.
The others are Mampong, Subin, Ahafo-Ano South, Kwadaso, Atwima-Kwanwoma and Oforikrom.
President Akufo-Addo would also be launching the Kumasi Roads Facelift Programme at Atonsu and tour the Vesta Oil Factory in the Bosomtwe District.
Additionally, he would inspect ongoing works on the Manhyia-Bantama asphalt overlay project at Abrepo and construction works on the Trede-Ahodwo road.
His other engagements would involve meeting with chiefs and religious leaders in the region, inspection of on-going construction works on a on district one warehouse project at Mampong and performing the ceremony for the start of work on the Wioso-Mpasaaso road.
President Akufo-Addo is expected to launch the Youth Afforestation Programme and visit a one district one factory project site at Kaase.
Before ending his tour on Tuesday, August 13, he would address the 29th Biennial General Council Meeting of the Assemblies of God, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
