President Akufo-Addo will today, Friday, begin a nationwide tour, starting from the Brong Ahafo Region.
The tour, which will see the President visiting all the ten regions, is intended to give him first-hand information on the major developments across the country and also assess the needs of the various regions.
President Akufo-Addo returned home Wednesday night from the United Kingdom after a week-long vacation, his first since assuming office as President.
Whilst away, the President spoke at the University of Oxford, as part of its 2018 Africa Conference, on the theme: “Enough Rhetoric! Catalyzing an Era of Concrete Action”.
He also delivered the keynote address at the London Business School’s Africa Business Summit.
The President also took the opportunity to attend the Anglican confirmation ceremony of his grandson, Louis, at his old school, Lancing College, in Sussex.
He was accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, and the rest of their family.
Addressing the press after the President’s arrival, Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, disclosed that the vacation was restful and that the President was poised to begin work.
The President’s last tour of the country in 2017 ended in the Eastern Region in December 2017.
