PRESIDENT NANA Akufo-Addo has stated that he will hand over the mantle of leadership of the country to a New Patriotic Party (NPP) person on January 7, 2025.
Speaking at the NPP National Delegates Conference in Kumasi, he said his administration has done splendid works to better the lives of the citizenry in just five years.
According to him, no government has done what his administration had done in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, education and health sectors in the state so far.
In this regard, he said Ghanaians would consider the positive works of his administration and renew the mandate of the NPP government to sustain their good works.
NPP Internal Polls
The president, however, called for total unity and oneness in the NPP, as the party prepares to go to the polls to elect their next batch of leaders, reiterating that “we need peace”.
He said Ghanaians would monitor the outcome of the internal NPP elections to determine whether the party deserved to have their mandate renewed in 2024.
Jabs Mahama
President Akufo-Addo also challenged ex-President Mahama to mention a single policy that he would introduce to better the lives of the people if he becomes president again.
He said whilst the NPP was in opposition, he (Nana) outlined the free SHS, 1D1F and other social intervention policies to campaign for votes so “Mahama should state his policies.
