Alhaji Yusif Abdulai, an aspiring Constituency Organiser for the Tema East branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has promised to bring vibrancy to the party if elected in the forthcoming branch elections.
He has also promised to win the Tema East Parliamentary seat for the NDC if he is elected Organiser of the constituency.
Alhaji Yusif who was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra said although his predecessors had performed creditably well to close the difference between them and the New Patriotic Party in the 2012 and 2016 elections, his regime if elected would win the constituency.
“I want to commend the two previous Organizers of the party in the Constituency, Clement Kofigah and Kojogah Dekagbe for their stewardship which saw the NDC losing by about 4,070 in 2016 and 3 votes in 2012 respectively, but I promise that I will help win the seat for NDC.”
He said the party needed a new helmsman like him to win in 2020, “and I intend to bring both.”
On the performance of government, he reminded President Akufo-Addo to honour his promises in the 2016 election campaigns.
“In two months’ time, Nana’s own timeline of 18 months which he gave us and promised he will have Ghana transformed from a Guggisberg economy into a world class economy, will elapse and Ghanaians are asking, does his promise to transform Ghana so dramatically still hold?”
