All Set for Ashanti NDC Youth Congress

ALL ROADS in the Ashanti Region will lead to Ejura on Friday, where the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will elect their next youth organizer in the Ashanti region.

The contest is described as a two-horse race between Francis Dodovi, and Osman Abdallah, as the incumbent Regional Youth Organizer, Brogya Genfi, is not seeking re-election. He intends to contest for the National Youth Organizer position.

Party executives in the region have stated that everything that would be needed for the congress had been put in place.

Meanwhile, reports making rounds indicate that Francis Dodovi, who previously served as the spokesperson for several Ashanti Regional Ministers during the NDC regime, is the clear favourite to carry the day.

They claim that Dodovi is more eloquent and sound convincing in his explanation of the party’s position on issues.

The Ashanti Regional NDC, it would be recalled, performed abysmally during the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections, and is determined to turn the tide in the region in the 2020 elections.
