Amankwah Mireku Blames Players For Hearts’ Poor Form
Ex-Hearts of Oak captain, Amankwah Mireku, has ripped into the current crop of players and blamed them for the club’s plummeting form.
The Phobians took a first half lead on Wednesday but capitulated in the second half to lose 3-1 to Karela FC in the Ghana Premier League.
Hearts have so far lost four games in eight matches and that, to him, is very worrying.
”I’ve always said that the players make the manager, and not vice versa. The attitudes of the players don’t meet the standard of Hearts of Oak,” he told Citi Sports.
”When people call for the coach’s dismissal, it baffles me. In my opinion, the players should rather be sacked for poor performance.”
Hearts will take on Bechem United in Cape Coast this weekend.
