Amenfi East MP donates to second division teams

The Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East, Nicholas Amankwah popularly known as Home Boy has made a donation of football items to several second division teams in the constituency.

The items donated include jerseys, footballs and a whooping amount of 1,000 Ghana cedis to each team.

The beneficiary teams were Akropong United – Wasa Akropong, Budo FC – Wasa Grumisa and Kings FC – Wasa Jukwa Heman Mpatase.

According to the lawmaker, the gesture is geared towards sustaining the teams for their division two (2) sub middle league games scheduled to be played at Samatex park (Sameraboi).

In a Facebook post, Nicholas Amankwah indicated the donation is “to support, encourage and also boost their morale for them to excel in the competition ahead of them. As you are going out to fight for the three slots in other to qualify for the super middle league, the spirits of Amenfi east is solidly behind you and we are hoping that all the three Amenfi east teams will make us proud and qualify for the super middle league where eventually we will expect that one of my constituency teams will win the slot to qualify for division one (1) league in the upcoming soccer season.”
