The 6th annual Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards holding at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos, begun with a red carpet that kicked off at exactly 4PM (Nigerian Time).
The 6th edition of the AMVCAs saw many movie stars across Africa step out in grand style for the event.
The AMVCAs is an annual event which is aimed at celebrating African actors, actresses, producers, directors and many others within the movie industry.

The nominees of this year’s edition were announced via a televised broadcast on all Africa Magic channels on DStv and GOtv on Saturday, June 30, by Ghanaian actress and TV host, Joselyn Dumas, and Nigerian comedian and actor, Bovi.
With over 120 nominations for 27 categories, filmmakers and actors from several African countries including Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Ghana, and Nigeria have converged at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos for one of the biggest nights for African movies.
This year’s award featured heavyweights in the movie industry on the African continent battle it out in all 27 categories.
