Anyamam Schools Locked Up by Criminals
Pupils and teachers of the Anyamam Presbyterian Basic School in the Ada West District of the Greater Accra Region on Thursday had the rudest shock in their lives when they were unable to enter their classrooms because some strange locks were fixed to their classrooms and offices.
Both doors to each of the twenty-one classrooms and offices were strangely glued together and the key holes filled with a mixture of super glue and sand by the unknown persons, making it impossible to open the doors.
The ‘criminals’ also attempted to do same at the JHS but could not succeed. No item was reported missing in the school as at now.
The pupils and teachers were scandalized by the development. The Head teachers of both schools had since informed the District Education Directorate and the police about the matter.
As at 12noon on Thursday only classes one, two and three had been opened as the pupils continued to loiter and play around.
The authorities, police and the area Assemblyman are, however, tight-lipped on the issue.
Meanwhile, no arrest has so far been effected in connection with the incident.
