Appiah Stadium to Go Naked for Mahama
FROM ALL indications, interesting things are bound to happen when the Ashanti Regional edition of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Unity Walk finally hits Kumasi on Saturday.
Appiah Stadium, a dyed-in-the-wool supporter of former President John Dramani Mahama, has vowed to publicly go naked during the much-talked-about event.
According to him, he loved Mr. Mahama so much that he had decided to parade in public without clothes, for the world to see the genuineness of his love for him.
“I will go naked for Mr. Mahama during the Ashanti Regional version of the NDC Unity Walk, which is hitting Kumasi on Saturday morning”, the outspoken NDC man, declared on radio.
He indicated that all the numerous developmental gains that the country chalked under Mr. Mahama’s reign as president had been wiped away by President Akufo-Addo.
According to Appiah Stadium, Ghanaians had regretted voting against the NDC in the 2016 elections, stressing that his naked demonstration would kick-start the NDC campaign for victory 2020.
Appiah, it would be recalled, caused a stir during the 2016 electioneering campaign, when he single-handedly carried an effigy of the former President on his head and walked for several kilometers in the city. It was the first of its kind in the history of Kumasi politics.
Likewise, no party faithful in Kumasi had gone nude in public to display his/her strong love and affection for his/her political idol. But since Appiah Stadium has vowed to break the jinx, residents of Kumasi can only wait and see.
