Artisans grateful to Napo for support

BENEFICIARIES of a special free skills training programme in the Manhyia South have thanked Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’.

Napo, who is the MP for Manhyia South, personally sponsored for the over hundreds of artisans to be trained free of charge to help enhance their Ives.

They were particularly trained in skills training programmes such as Fashion Design, Hair Dressers, Make-up Artists, Computer Programmers, and others.

Napo, who has the welfare of his constituents, especially the youth at heart, also provided financial and logistical support to them to start their businesses after their training.

The beneficiaries, who are now gainfully employed and contributing to national development, presented a citation to Napo to show their appreciation to him on Friday.

In his response, Napo said “It is heartwarming and exciting that today, they are full professionals, plying their trade for the benefit of not only themselves but their families and by extension, the whole country.

“No human being is useless on earth and therefore my conviction as a politician is to work assiduously to ensure that I contribute meaningfully to the future well-being of our youth”

Napo, who doubles as the Energy Minister, also admonished the beneficiaries of his largesse to share their knowledge for others to also benefit.
