Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has hit back at critics once again on his official Instagram page on Wednesday night.
The former Sunderland have been in the news of late after former Black Stars striker, Prince Tagoe and renowned broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah both insisted that U-20 World Cup winner, Andre Dede Ayew deserves the Black Stars captaincy and not Gyan.
According to Tagoe, the management of the Black Stars should have given the captain armband to either Michael Essien or Sulley Muntari when Stephen Appiah retired from the national team and the country’s all-time top goal scorer.
These comment made by Tagoe and the former TV3 news anchor didn’t go down well with Gyan and described them [Prince Tagoe and Nana Aba Anamoah] as attention seekers in an interview with Accra based Hot FM.
With a live broadcast on his official Instagram page last night, Gyan insisted that he never begged or lobbied for the Black Stars captaincy and also rubbished allegations of using black magic to destroy the career of other strikers in the national team.
However, the former Hearts of Oak goal poacher has maintained that he has no problem with the former Liberty Professionals striker.
