Asantehemaa bblesses Bawumia …for future presidency

VICE PRESIDENT Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has benefitted from prayers from the Asantehemaa, Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom.

The Asantehemaa obliged to a request from Dr. Bawumia, who had appealed for her blessings as he was about to embark on a campaign tour in the Ashanti Region.

Nana Ama Konadu, in a short prayer, openly prophesied that Alhaji Dr. Bawumia, who is an economic luminary, would go very far in his political career.

Speaking in ‘Twi’, she said “You will go far, you will go far, you will go far”, adding that she was also praying for the impending elections to be very peaceful.

The Asantehemaa also prayed for constant protection for Alhaji Dr. Bawumia and his political party even as they toured the country on a campaign for votes.

Dr. Bawumia, who knelt before the Asantehemaa during the prayer session, later on, was seen thanking the Asante Queen. The incident was captured on video.

In a related development, some political pundits have explained the Asantehemaa’s prayers to mean that Dr. Bawumia would become president one day.

Dr. Bawumia looks likely to lead the NPP as a presidential candidate, especially, after his boss and mentor, President Nana Akufo-Addo had finished his term.
