Asare Bediako Hits Road

MR. ASARE Bediako’s hankering of being elected as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has received massive boost as scores of party people have declared their support for him.

Reports indicate that Bediako, who is the longest-serving constituency chairman of the NPP in the Ashanti region, having served as Asokwa constituency as chairman of the party for 24 years, has started touring the region.

Described by many as the ‘father’ of the party in the region, Chairman Bediako has reportedly been welcomed by party members in all the constituencies that he had visited to campaign, so far.

He is said to have started his campaign tour with a meeting with the Asokwa executives, his home constituency, where he outlined his vision to make the NPP stronger and viable to all members.

He then moved his campaign into full gear and had in the last few days visited most of the constituencies in the region with his message of change towards making the party more attractive.

Mr. Bediako, who is embarking on a decent campaign devoid of insults, insinuations and name callings, said the current trend whereby all the glory in the party is given to the sitting chairman, is not the best practice, because he thinks it could demoralize the members.

The experienced politician has promised to involve all members in the running of the party, stressing that the collective roles of the members would make victory 2020 easier for the NPP.
