Asare Bediako Picks Forms
PERSONS spreading reports that Asare Bediako would not contest the Ashanti Regional Chairmanship position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) must have been put to shame by now.
This is because, despite what is being described as their ‘evil’ machinations to discourage his fans, Bediako, has picked his nomination forms to contest for the enviable party position.
The longest-serving NPP constituency chairman in the Ashanti region, who had served the party in the Asokwa Constituency for 24 years, stormed the Ashanti Regional NPP office with his supporters and scores of top-notch and influential constituency chairmen in the region, to signify their solidarity with him, as he picked his nomination form.
Beaming with smiles, he said he was contesting with the sole intention of restructuring the party to make it look stronger, better, more united and ready to win election the 2020 general elections.
He said everything pointed to the fact that the party was on its knees after the 2016 electoral victory, saying that he was the most suitable person to revive the party.
Mr. Bediako, who is an experienced politician, assured that he would conduct his campaign in a decent manner, devoid of insults, insinuations and name-calling, and urged his opponents to also do same.
He described the upcoming contest as a ‘family affair’ and stressed that: “We must remain united after the NPP elections to face the 2020 polls”.
