Asem, social media users mock Sarkodie over ‘fake’ UN awards

Ghanaians on social media have expressed shock over some top stars in the music, movie Industry in addition to media personalities falling for an award scheme organised over the  weekend which has been described as scam.

This comes at the back of news of a certain Dr Fordjour who had disguised himself as a representative of the UN and a convenor of an award scheme on behalf of the Kofi Annan Foundation.

Further checks has labelled him as a fraudster and does not basically works with the Kofi Annan Foundation as he had claimed.

Sarkodie and others trolled after their UN Awards were uncovered as fake

Celebrities like Sarkodie, D-Black, Berla Mundi, Nathaniel Attoh, Chairman Wontumi, among others on August 29, 2020 gathered under one roof and were awarded for their contribution to their various fields.

Photos and videos of the said event went viral on social media with many media outlets acknowledging and reporting on the said programme.

Following that, Asem has expressed disappointment in D’black for allowing himself to be deceived by this quack award scheme as he is seen as a very intelligent musician and further mocking Sarkodie in addition.

However, Berla Mundi and D-Black have since deleted the pictures of the awards from their social media handles, despite the two deleting it, the trolls and disappointment are still ongoing.
