Asokore Mampong Gets Modern Bank

THE WIFE of the Asantehene, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, has officially cut the tape to open the Asokore Mampong Rural Bank, during a colourful ceremony.

The ultra-modern bank complex was constructed by the Asokore Mampong Traditional Council, led by Nana Boakye Ansah Debrah, Asokore Mamponghene.

The bank, among other things, will help boost businesses at Asokore Mampong and the nearby communities. It will also encourage savings by the people.

The official opening of the bank, which took place on Tuesday at Asokore Mampong, was graced by gurus from the banking sector in the country.

Nana Boakye Ansah Debrah said Asokore Mampong is growing fast and so there was the need to construct a bank in the area to expedite businesses.

He appealed to chiefs to act as agents of development, lauding the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for helping in the opening of the bank.

Lady Julia Osei Tutu charged staff of the bank to be accommodating and treat their customers with maximum care and respect at all times.

She also entreated banks in the country to introduce programmes and policies that would help promote the businesses of their customers.
