Atinka Media Village Boss Dead
Information reaching The Publisher indicates that veteran journalist Francis Sasu, Head of News at Atinka Media Village has passed on.
Popularly known as ‘FS’, the journalist is said to have died on Wednesday, November 21 at the Ga North Municipal Hospital at Amasaman.
Brother of the deceased, Edmund Sasu, confirming the news told GhanaNewsPage that his brother died a few hours after visiting the hospital for checkup and that his body had been deposited at the Ridge Hospital Morgue for an autopsy.
However, the Managing Director of Atinka Media Village, Albert Dwumfour, on behalf of management and staff, has extended condolences to the family, adding that the day had been a sad one for Atinka Media Village as well as the inky fraternity.
“Everybody here is sad and heartbroken because of this bad news,” he said.
He extolled the late Mr. Sasu’s hard work and his commitment towards work and that despite his age and wealth of experience, he had respect for all.
The late Francis Sasu has enviable career records spanning forty years – where his contribution in standardizing and shaping journalism and media works in the country stood tall till his demise.
He started his youthful career with the National Lotteries From 1973-1981, and after eight productive years of work, he leapfrogged to the Nation’s heartbeat, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).
The late Francis Sasu was 67.
