Atubiga Woos Kojo Bonsu for President
A CONTENDER for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential position, Stephen Atubiga, has urged Kojo Bonsu, who has bowed out of the race over the ‘killer filing fee’ brouhaha, to support his bid.
“I will entreat Kojo Bonsu to declare his support for me because I am confident that definitely I will emerge winner when the NDC goes to the polls to elect our presidential candidate.
“I will call him and tell him about the need for him to declare his support for me, ahead of the important party contest, slated for January 2019”, Mr. Atubiga stated.
Some leading members of the NDC, including Members of Parliament (MP), have so far declared their unflinching support for former President John Dramani Mahama who is also in the race, but Atubiga said he was not perturbed about those declarations. He said if Kojo Bonsu alone would declare for him it would be enough to boost his bid.
Mr. Atubiga said he had enough resources to pay for the GH¢300,000 filing fee, and flatly debunked speculations that Mr. Mahama paid for his GH¢20,000 nomination fee.
