Ahead of plans to expand infrastructure for the betterment of students in African University College of Communications (AUCC), the Student Representative Council(SRC) has cut sod for the construction of lover/study benches.
The facility is expected to serve as a relief for students in the school as measures to enhance learning process as well as equip better teaching process.
Speaking at the ceremony, the SRC President, Samuel Kofi Yeboah, said the initiative would resolve to provide facilities to enhance teaching and learning in the institution.
”The project is expected to have: 5 pair (10pcs) concrete Benches. 5 concrete Slob Tables. 5 Marker Boards. A single Aluminum Roofing Shade house with open ventilation. Adequate vehicular barricades to ensure safety of end users. Lightening and plugs will all be available.
”The welfare and convenience of students still remains my administration’s topmost priority and we are committed to fulfilling all promises made. With a dedicated spirit and one accord we can confront all the challenges the council face.” he said.
He, however, implored students to ensure that the project becomes a “phase one of many more sets of students accommodation” on campus.
According to him, the project was coming at the right time to ease the pressure on facilities on campus adding that, the vision of his administration is to get students a decent facilities to enhance learning.
”Gone through all the process for the sod cutting of the much awaited study benches, a project I promised during the campaign season last year. A project that students had cried about it for long. I am optimistic this would add to the many successes of my administration. As head of the Student Representative Council, our core value is to make sure better measures are being put in place for the growth of the student body both physically and academically.”
