Actor, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin was earlier today arrested by the Manhyia Divisional Police Command’s MTTD. This was shortly after he was discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Lilwin was seen in a wheelchair while he was being helped to board the vehicle belonging to the Police.
His arrest was in connection with an accident he was involved in which led to several others getting injured and a 3-year-old boy Richmond Tawiah’s death.
He was arraigned before the Asokore Mampong District Court less than 24 hours after his arrest.
He was charged with careless and inconsiderate driving resulting in one death and granted GH¢50,000 bail with two sureties.
Background
On May 25 while on interview rounds ahead of the premiere of his movie titled “A Country Called Ghana”, Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Lilwin was involved in a fatal accident.
The accident led to the death of a 3-year-old boy whose father’s car lilwin crashed.
Eyewitnesses at the scene of the accident blamed lilwin for over speeding and causing the accident.
Lilwin and others in his vehicle were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. However, the actor was able to attend the premiere of his movie.
