Awurama Badu Goes Home on Saturday

Veteran highlife musician Awurama Badu who passed away on 26th October, 2017 will be buried on Saturday, 17th February, 2018.

The final funeral rites will be held at the Centre for National Culture – Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

This was announced at the 1 week celebration of the ‘Obaatan Refre Ne Mma’ singer at Banko in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region.

The family of Awurama Badu also appealed to the government to give the deceased a state burial, explaining that she has contributed a lot to the Ghanaian music industry.

Awurama Badu passed away at the Effiduase Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region on Thursday, 26th October, 2017.

Awurama released songs such as ‘Komkom,’ ‘Emelia,’ ‘Me Dofo Adadaa Me,’ and ‘Obaatan Refre Ne Mma.’
